Paris/Troyes – Judaism arrived in Troyes in the 11th century, through the Champagne fairs. The Jewish population lived in the Brush District (French: Quartier de la Brosse aux juifs), at the corner of Rue Boucherat and Rue Montier la Celle.[1] The medieval Jewish cemetery is located outside the borders of the neighborhood, across from the Troyes library. The Rashi Synagogue is a Jewish Synagogue in Troyes, Grand Est, France. The synagogue is named after the medieval Jewish Rabbi and biblical commentator Rashi, who was born and died in Troyes.

Champagne– The wine region within the historical province of Champagne in the northeast of France is best known for the production of champagne, the sparkling white wine that bears the region’s name. We will visit a Kosher Winery in Champagne as part of the tour.

Rouen– Endowed with a prestige established during the medieval era, and with a long architectural heritage in its historical monuments, Rouen is an important cultural capital. Rouen’s rich historical heritage makes it an unmissable destination. Classified as a historic monument, the Palais de Justice is an emblematic site that bears witness to Rouen’s royal history.

Beaches of Normandy– The Normandy landings were the landing operations and associated airborne operations on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. Codenamed Operation Neptune and often referred to as D-Day, it was, and still is, the largest seaborne invasion in history.

Honfleur/Étretat‘s Cliff – The harbor of Le Havre is your convenient base for two beautiful land explorations. First will be a tour to the nearby city of Honfleur, with its picturesque old harbor lined with 16th—18th century townhouses. In the afternoon we will explore the Norman coastline on a walk along Étretat‘s cliff-top paths for a view of the steep chalk rocks with impressive needle-like formations.

Giverny is a village in the region of Normandy in northern France. Impressionist painter Claude Monet lived and worked here from 1883 until his death in 1926. The artist’s former home and elaborate gardens, where he produced his famed water lily series, are now the Fondation Claude Monet museum. Nearby, the Musée des impressionnismes Giverny highlights the Impressionist art movement.
